Met kunst, symposium, gesprekken, workshops, stellingen…
SIGN presenteert een 9-tal kunstenaars; zij vormen met hun uitingen de actie exposure !

‘Action as Art’ wil zich verhouden tot kunst. Leven & laten leven staat onder druk. Dat is ook voelbaar in de kunst!
Hoe stel je je dan op als kunstenaar en kunstinstelling?
Zijn er strategieën en scenario’s te bedenken om je te weer te stellen en kan een tegenproces zich ontwikkelen?

“De wijze waarop fascistische tendensen onze nu nog open tolerante inclusieve cultuur binnen dringen is beangstigend. Houden we de vrijheid van de kunsten overeind?
Blijven vrouwen-en migrantenrechten en alle rechten van de LHBTQ+ generatie in stand? Blijft er oog voor de dreigende klimaatverandering? 
Hoe zorgen we dat we naast elkaar blijven staan en niet tegen elkaar uitgespeeld worden? De kunsten zullen het lastig krijgen maar ze zijn belangrijker dan ooit. Laten we nu de krachten bundelen en een ferm geluid laten horen vanuit Groningen.”

‘Action as Art’ wants to relate to art. Live & let live is under pressure. This is also felt in art!
How do you position yourself as an artist and art statement?
Are there strategies and scenarios to think of to resist and can a counter-process develop?

“The way in which fascist tendencies are penetrating our still open, tolerant, inclusive culture is frightening. Will we maintain the freedom of the arts?
Will women’s and migrant rights and all rights of the LGBTQ+ generation be maintained? Will there still be an eye for the threat of climate change?
How do we ensure that we continue to stand side by side and are not played off against each other? The arts will have a hard time, but they are more important than ever. Let us join forces now and make a firm voice heard from Groningen.”
