Willehad Eilers (1981, Peine Dld.) is een multidisciplinair kunstenaar

Zijn werk is verwant aan strip-en graffitycultuur. In zijn nieuwste film Elephant Boy geeft hij een wrang en spottend commentaar op de samenleving waarin het zwarte olifantje moet opgroeien.
Zijn wereld wordt bevolkt door merkwaardige strip-achtige figuren; een mengeling van poppen, animatie en gemankeerde reële figuren. Typografische stijlfiguren, wezentjes en filmflitsen versterken de dreigende vaak gewelddadige lading.
Eilers is in 2005 afgestudeerd aan Rietveld Academie Amsterdam, winnaar van One Minute Award 05, genomineerde van Volkskrant Beeldende Kunst Prijs 07, exposities o.a. GEM, Den Haag '06 en thans in het Centraal Museum Utrecht.

Willehad Eilers (1981, Peine Germany) is a multidisciplinary artist.
His work is related to comics and graffiti culture. In his newest film Elephant Boy he comments acid and mocking the society in which the little black elephant has to grow up. Eilers world is inhabited by strange comic-like characters; a mixture of dolls, animation and dented real people. Typographic style elements, creatures and film flashes strengthen the often violent contents of his work.
Eilers was the winner of the One Minute Award 2005, nominee for the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunst Prijs 2007 and had exhibitions amongst others in GEM, The Hague and Centraal Museum, Utrecht.

Hidenori Mitsue (1969, Himeji, Japan)

gebruikt in zijn schilderijen populaire iconen en gewone gebeurtenissen uit het dagelijkse leven en plaatst deze in een abstracte context. Uit deze combinatie produceert hij nieuwe irrationele verbanden, versterkt door de aparte
verfbehandeling.
Familiaire symbolen en iconen hebben daarbij hun wortels verloren. Mitsue zet ze centraal in een nieuwe situatie met een andere atmosfeer, waardoor ze metaforen worden voor nieuwe perceptie. Hidenori Mitsue studeert thans aan Dutch Art Institute MFA Enschede

applies in his paintings popular icons and common events from daily life and situates these in an abstract context. Out of this combination he generates new irrational connections enhanced by a specific treatment of paint.
Familiar symbols and icons have lost their roots in painting this way. Mitsue centralizes these in a new situation with a different atmosphere so they become metaphors for new perception.
At the moment Hidenori Mitsue is studying at the DAI MFA Enschede.

Chiaki Kamikawa (1976, Kawasaki, Japan)
maakt tekeningen en sculpturen, geinspireerd door alledaagse gebeurtenissen en scenes, laverend tussen realiteit en fantasie. Haar werk gaat over herinneringen, dromen, verborgen verlangens en irrationele menselijke gedragingen. Ze behandelt de grens tussen privaat en publiek en de (in)correctheid, die diep ingebed is in onze samenleving. Thema's worden gecombineerd in dramatische scene's met surreële voorvallen en een onverklaarbare "orde der dingen".
Chiaki Kamikawa is in 2007 afgestudeerd a/h Sandberg Instituut MFA Amsterdam.

Chiaki Kamikawa (1976, Kawasaki, Japan)
makes drawings and sculptures inspired by daily routines and scenes addressing both reality and phantasy. Her work is about memories, dreams, hidden desires and irrational human behaviour. She deals with limits of private and public and the (in)correctness which is deeply embedded in society.
Themes are combined in dramatic scenes with surreal incidents and an inexplicable "order of things".
Kamikawa has graduated Sandberg Insituut MFA Amsterdam in 2007.
