Was born 06/11/1970 in Haifa, Israel. He spent 1978-1981 in Genoa, Italy where he learned English and became aware of the possibility that there is a world surrounding his native country, an opinion that made his life upon returning quite difficult.
He spent the following years in the fringe of Israeli society, having problems with one system after the other and doing various things that had nothing whatsoever to do with visual arts (but made his life interesting nonetheless) and writing a lot.
In 1998 he got accepted into the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Holland, and Graduated the Free Media Dept. in 2002. He is now with the Fine Arts Dept. of the Sandberg Institute In Amsterdam, Holland.
When not in the studio he spends his time with comic-books, lousy movies, daydreaming, cooking, Internet, tons and tons of music, cinema, candy, literature, news, looking for junk on the streets, NBA, bad humor, science-fiction, 70’s Manga robots, religion, walking around aimlessly, the study of coffee, basic mysticism and sleeping.
Despite all evidence pointing to the contrary, he firmly insists on believing that he is of some importance to the universe, but doesn’t make too much of a fuss about it.
This is his first gallery exhibition, and we have it on good authority that he is very happy to be here.

In Sign wil ik een installatie tonen van 15-20 wekkerradio’s, ingepakt in witte tape met blauwe lampjes erop. De radio’s worden telkens aan en uitgeschakeld, waardoor verschillende soorten ruis, flarden muziek en gesprekken te horen zijn. De snoeren en stekkers, waarmee de radio’s verbonden zijn, vormen een netwerk. Het geheel komt in de ruimte te hangen.

Ik houd ik mij vooral bezig met systemen en de verstoringen ervan. Dit kunnen tastbare, maar ook psychologische en sociale systemen zijn.
Het werk heeft vooral verband met sociale systemen. Zoals mensen daarbinnen verbonden zijn, zo gaan de radio’s hier relaties met elkaar aan. Sommige zoeken elkaar op, andere zijn wat meer op zichzelf. Het werk zegt dan ook iets over groepsgevoel, individualiteit en communicatie.
