Thema van de Nacht van Kunst & Wetenschap is “Healthy Ageing ”
-Jalila Essaïdi toont “2.6g 329m/s”, een kogelwerende huid. Spinnenzijde, sterker dan staal en geproduceerd door transgene geiten, wordt bezaaid met huidcellen die daarna uitgroeien tot een kogelwerende menselijk huid.
-Peter van der Es presenteert ‘Sugar de l’eau’, een panoramische allegorische voorstelling van “De Fontein der Eeuwige Jeugd”
-In DUELL 2010 gaat Philip Bottger een confrontatie aan. Wie vuurt sneller, de kunstenaar met zijn gedachten, via een EEG, of de computer met een mechanische arm?
-Vena Naskrecka‘s werk is sterk verbonden aan menselijk welzijn, geneeskunde, medische behandeling en de impact van medische zorg.
-Pieter van der Schaaf presenteert levensgrote beelden van bejaarden, voor eeuwig vastgelegd in deze levensfase.
-Metalosis Maligna van Floris Kaayk is een pseudo-documentaire over een ziekte, waarbij metalen implantaten doorwoekeren. Het menselijk weefsel breekt af en het lichaam verandert deels in een metalen skelet.
-De robotica sculpturen Thijs Wieman stellen menselijke delen voor die een kunstmatig eigen leven lijken te hebben.

-Jalila Essaidi “2.6g 329 m/s” is a laboratory grown, bulletproof, human skin. Spider silk stronger than steel produced by transgenic goats, is sown with human skin cells that afterwards grow to become a bulletproof human skin.
-Peter van der Es: “Sugar de l´eau” a panoramic projection of an allegoric representation of the Fountain of eternal Youth.
-Vena Naskrecka‘s art (performances, objects, video) is strongly connected with human condition, medicine, medical treatment and impact of medical cure and equipment on human life.
– “Duell 2010”, by Philip Böttger, shows mans approach to duel himself with the computer. In a wild west like, quick-draw-stand-off situation you will see which of them will proof to be the best: The artist with his mind, through a EEG, or the computer with his mechanic arm?
-Pieter van der Schaaf presents life-size sculptures of elderly people forever captured in this phase of their life.
– “Metalosis Maligna” by Floris Kaayk is a pseudo documentary about a disease that causes metal implants to grow uncontrollable inside a human body. The human tissue is destroyed gradually and the body itself changes into a metal skeleton.
–Thijs Wieman makes robotic sculptures, representing human parts, like skin, bones, muscles, organs that seem to have an artificial life of their own.
